Florida Encounter is environmentally conscious and proud to give back to the community!

Here are some of the efforts in place to accomplish this important goal:

• In an effort to reduce the attending meeting planner's carbon footprint of their air or ground travel and to promote clean energy, VISIT FLORIDA will purchase carbon offsets. A carbon offset is a certificate representing the reduction of one metric ton (2,205 lbs) of carbon dioxide emissions, the principal cause of global warming. This purchase will fund projects such as wind farms that reduce carbon emissions. Please see www.terrapass.com for more information.

• Recycle bins will be set up throughout the function area.

  
  
• Surplus food from the meal functions will donated to a local food bank.
  
• CSR Activity on Sunday morning.
